I know there is a movement by the ABC islands and maybe other places to have us fill out on line the ED card before we leave home. I for one have not. I get the immigration card on the flight down, fill it out and when I get to Aruba no one asks me if I have an ED they just direct me to the "gates" as I call them. I put in my passport few seconds later off I go.

Would the ED card make any difference? Don't see how.

Your thoughts?

We just flew to Aruba at the end of February and the airline did not even hand out the cards...and no one asked us for them in Aruba. Didn't fill out forms arriving or departing this year.

It takes a few minutes to fill out the on line form and should it be needed you have it handy.

Upon our arrival in early March, a couple of Aruban customs agents were gathering up the hand-written ones as they directed people into the various lines. Those were being gathered with the care of paperwork destined for the shredder.

Those of us with paper copies of our electronic info were paid no never-mind.

I'm not sure what, if any, use they are.

I hate to fill things out on the plane. Much easier to do it on the computer.

Thank you all but I still don't get it.

If I fill nothing out and all I do is arrive get into the "gate" put passport in wait a few seconds and I am on my way vs. doing the ED on line (and yes it is a very simple process), or filling out the card on the plane. Isn't all become the same thing.

Does the ED give you a receipt at least.

Agreed, no one even looked at ours in February, just took them with a fist full of others. I'll know better when we return in November. What a waste of time and paper.

Last year they never even bothered to look at them, year before they were calling out people who did it online and took them right away. I'll tell you in 3 days :)

I do not like filling out the form on the plane. I fill out the form online and print a copy to bring with me. When arriving in Aruba, I tell the person collecting the forms I did it online and keep on walking, no holdup at all.

A lady was taking the ones made out on the plane yesterday and not even looking at them, ones that did it on line we’re told to go scan your passport and didn’t even want them, I threw them out

Yes, they email it to you and you can print it out.

I always hated having to find a pen to fill it out on the plane, doing it online is simple.
