We were there end of Feb. and into March. We actually left on Mar. 24. Was anyone else there at the end of March and saw the beautiful sun halo? We'd never seen anything like it.

We were there just last week. One day, I looked up at the sun and noticed a rainbow around it and pointed it out to my wife.

It was not as spectacular as some of the pictures I found online, but still it was there.

I can only hope that the picture does not prompt anyone to share any repressed probing memories here. There are other forums better suited for that.
Thanks in advance.......

I just saw it on YouTube. No wonder you felt like that, Ann. Wish I could've seen it in person. I wonder what caused it?

Saw this halo many years ago in Aruba, and kept a newspaper article discussing the phenomenon. It was amazing to see. Apparently it is due to light passing through ice crystals in very high, very thin cirrus clouds.
