I have seen caravan type taxis at the airport and around the island so it shouldn't be a problem.

We have quite a few "scooter dependent" people who use wheelchairs to and from in the airports and once on the island there are scooters waiting for them in our lobby at our resort that have been reserved in advance. I am sure you feel more comfortable with your own personal scooter. Is it the type like a few of our friends that can be dismantled in 3 sections if necessary to load in and out of a van if you are unable to get a van to take it in one piece? That would be my main concern with my personal scooter if it cannot be easily transported in one piece.

Patsfan., I used to rent one, but I just got this one recently for first time, and it does come apart easily for trunk transport..thank you for your response.

Having the capability of easily dismantling it, if need be, definitely is a big help and I would probably bring it as well. This way you know exactly what you got and how to use it and its dependability. Good Luck...hope it works out the way you need.

No doubt you will do so....be sure it is definitely identifiable as being yours. I would have a 2nd sticker of some kind in an inconspicuous area as well....I would be somewhat OCD about it....lol.

My husband rents a scooter from Labcorp and they are wonderful...deliver and pick up at no charge and it was very reliable and in good shape....
