Just got back from 10 days there..awesome time but heard some disturbing news that employees are keeping very quiet on.
1. Holiday Inn did sell to the Marriott at the beginning of March.
2. All the nice stores at the hotel have been given notice to vacate by April 30th.

Any feedback would be appreciated.
Thanks

I just got off the phone with the holiday inn (ihg) and they said that just the holiday inn expresses were bought. not the holiday inn aruba resort and casino. so they say. I guess I will have to wait to find out for sure in june. I would be interested if anyone hears differently. thanks

A friend that has stayed at the H.I. for many, many years contacted a friend that works there. The H.I. employee said it's all a rumor. She said that they might in the future convert the Sea Tower (former Curacao Tower) into a upscale tower.

Steve good to see you on the board. I too would be upset if the Marriott rumor was true. Also would find it hard to believe that they bought the Expresses as they are a big part of IHG actions and plans to force refurbishments or drop older properties and add Expresses in their place.

Did you retire yet? We are booked for end of January for 3 weeks. Hopefully we will run into each other again on one of our trips.
