Looking for some information on Paradise Beach Villas. How is the WIFI access? Does it work in the room and pool area? What is the cost? It will be our first time staying here. Wondering about their restaurants. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks, Jill

Yes there is wifi and it works well, at least in my room which is about as far from the lobby as you can get. If I remember correctly it is $35 up front for a week. There is also a business center in the lobby for a buck or 2 to print boarding passes. Last year there was a glitch and they let me print for free in their office.

There are 3 restaurant options there. The pool bar has light meals, the Italian place on the 3rd floor roof is awesome, food and views are great and the Peruvian place on the ground floor, fairly new, promises to be a new favorite for us. Near by are many more options within a 2 minute walk. Las Ramblas next door is fantastic and the old standby, Chalet Suisse, is an upscale choice.

I've been enjoying Paradise Beach Villas for several years and yes, the wifi was upgraded significantly a year ago and worked well for us in the room. At the time they were offering it free because it was a brand new system and they were de-glitching, but the regular price I believe would be around $35 per week.

Terrazza Italiana on the 3rd floor of Phase II is terrific. Reserve an early time (6 or 6:15 p.m.) for faster service (the kitchen is small and they get VERY busy) and to be comfortably seated to enjoy the sunset. The Peruvian restaurant (Asi Es Mi Peru) on main floor of Phase I had their soft opening when I was there a year ago and the items we tasted were terrific. They've had very strong and positive reviews since then.

I've been going to Aruba for 23 years (34 trips) and I absolutely love PBV. Located adjacent to my favourite beach (not just my opinion, ranked #4 in the world on Tripadvisor Traveller's Choice), intimate size quiet property with 2 lovely pools and accommodations that provide everything you need for a great vacation. The staff are terrific and helpful. You'll have a great time.

Do they offer free (basic/slow....LOL) wifi?
How much are taxes and fees due upon check-out for a one bedroom?
We normally stay at LaCabana. Looking forward to staying at PBV this year.

Thank you to all who gave some input. We are looking forward to our first visit at Paradise Beach Villas. Staying the first week at Caribbean Palm Village. Our first trip since my husband got sick and he is now in remission so we will celebrate our 28th wedding anniversary in Aruba.

At least during my past stays at PBV, there was free wifi in the lobby and then the wifi in the rooms was "paid wifi". This may still be the case.
