This year will be our 20th straight year going to Aruba & staying at the Tam. I believe the tourism bureau has some kind of acknowledgment, can anyone tell me how that works?
What do we need to do?
Thanks

The Tam get's in touch with the Aruba govt/tourist authority and you will get honorary ambassador certificates. They will do a presentation during your next trip.

You have to ask someone at Tam to coordinate it and when you will be there. At Casa del Mar the activity director was that person. Do the request several weeks in advance.

We got ours last year, and it was our 20th year. We were in Aruba for 4 weeks, so we had plenty of time to schedule the presentation. If you are only on the island for a week and want to get it this year, you could contact the appropriate person(s) at the Tam and let them know before you get there. Anyone at the front desk should know who handles this at the Tam. You get a framed certificate (in papiomento) and some souvenirs and Costa Linda honoured us with a free dinner and champagne.
By the way, the next certificate from the Aruba government comes at 35 years. Obviously, not too many people get that one.

I think they still do something for ten straight years also.

There is a 10 year certificate.
I didn't know there was anything after 20 years.
I am in my 33rd year at Casa del Mar(built in 1985) and first went to the Holiday Inn in 1974.

We missed the 10yr one which is why we really want to get this one.

Jim F, looks like you are on target to be one of the few to get a 35yr acknowledgement!

For 10 years at LCB, we had a reception with champagne and hot snacks and got a clock, a lapel pin and a golf towel and a certificate for dinner at the Captains Table I think it was called at the time, inside where the Glitz is now. For 20, we got nothing; I guess 30 will be the same as 20 :?

We missed the 10 year one, so we were determined to get the 20 year certificate.
Must have been 2015 when there for 3 weeks. It was finally arranged within our stay.
All I remember is the certificate, a photo op (it did appear in the morning paper), a handshake and a bottle of wine.
It was at CDM...missed only last year since 1988.
Flight reservation made this week for September 2018 (2 weeks).

We got the 10 & 20 year certificates. Our consecutive trip several weeks ago was #28. Might make 35 but up in the air!

Got our 10 yr. one in 2011 while at the Surf Club with daughter, son-in-law, and 2 grand kids. All we got was a certificate, and they took our picture. It was in the local newspaper the next week, after we left; and the resort would not send it to us. Also, it was only in black and white.
Hoping to get the 20 year one in 3 years, even though we have been to Aruba 27 times in 17 years.
