Have been hearing conflicting reports on MJ. It appears that it is not as good as it use to be. I heard there is a new chef. Been going there for years, now not sure if I want to dine there in June. Anyone been there lately?

There were 4 of us there two weeks ago and we thought it was excellent. Probably have gone there about 10 times for dinner and found it to be just as good.

We are in Aruba now for three weeks. Have already gone there twice...and once more before we leave. Has been our top restaurant for seventeen years. We have seen no drop off in quality.

I have been there a few times and thought it was just ok. Along with Wacky Wahoo, I think MJ's is one of the most overrated restaurants on the island.

We were at MJ’s a month ago and it was excellent. Did not notice any drop off in the quality of the food.

We used to go every trip, stopped going a couple of years ago when the portions shrunk, the prices rose and the service went way downhill

We have visited Mj's for at least 10 years. I thought the service and quality of food has been diminishing. To pay the prices they ask, and sit on a bed of rocks, with flees biting at your ankles, while sitting in dated and worn down chairs is a bit much. We probably will not return. Too many other choices on the island with better food prep and service.

Last visit back in July we had the worst meal we ever had at Madame Jeanette's. Had been at least a dozen times always great. Not on our list to be a must do anymore. Best meal again was Swiss Chalet!! :D

Here is what I have learned from the posts.

It's good, great, no good, not great. So I am going to go or not go.

Thanks?

This place really does seem to bring out love it or hate it responses.........I wonder if it might just be buyers remorse kicking in after the meal for some.

We thought about taking a break from it this year but our youngest son is meeting us in Aruba and wants to go.

We did go the first 4 years we went to Aruba. The last time I said " Food is just ok, I am getting eaten alive and service was not that good. So we stopped going. But I have to say the longer I go to Aruba the more we stop eating at the over priced places. We still have our favorites, not the fancy 5 course dinner. We loved having dinner at Legends, not expensive and also had a good dinner at Twist of Flavor, so I guess it depends on what you like. But I have to say we did have a great dinner at Mangos and Los Rombos last year so we do plan on going back this trip.
