We joined a year ago. With frequent visits to the island it worked for us.
We store any and all purchases left over in our timeshare storage bin.
I believe the cost was $39 for 2 Cards, one for me and the other for husband. We found the liquor prices cheaper than the grocery stores but not as cheap as DUTY FREE.
What ticked us off last visit was that they did not have bagels, English muffins, tonic water and a decent cold cuts.

When I went a few years back, it sticks in my memory banks that they accept a Costco card. Is that correct or am I having another senior moment?

They do not accept Costco (or Sam's Club) cards.
