I am thinking of renting a unit at Tropicana and I was hoping the members of the this board could give me a little feedback.

If you do decide to stay Be sure to get a new renovated room. The old rooms are just that, OLD and TIRED. Rooms are good size
The location isn't bad There are no ocean view rooms, however you share the beach huts with La Cabana,on Eagle beach.
There are Casinos and good restaurants within walking distance I prefer the area to the high rise.
Walking distance to Superfoods as well.

I really was trying to politely ask people what their opinion was of Tropicana, my wife and I own at Casa del Mar for the past 15 years, but we always extend our vacation by trying a new place......so I was soliciting opinions.

Checking the reviews on a site like Tripadvisor might get you the best idea rather than just one person's view....
However:
The Good- large one bedroom rooms, great pools, good staff, relaxed quiet atmosphere, Eagle beach a 5 min walk away, cheapish dining choices, easy parking with good security, Super Foods a short walk away
The Bad- Older rooms are dated and worn, too quiet for some, many of the popular eateries a drive away, limited night life, walk through LaCabana to get to the beach
The place suits us just fine. We spend little time in our room beside sleeping. Just booked for 2018.

I stayed there in 2016 and 2017 and am booked for 2018. Good size units and great showers in the renovated units. No problems getting spots at the pools. Short walk to the beach. Very small casino with an inexpensive restaurant. Very quiet at night. If you are into nightlife and crowds stay in the high rise area.
