The first time my husband and I came to Aruba was on our honeymoon in 1968. We stayed at the Sheraton which is now part of the RIU. It was very different then. It was quiet and pristine, however tourism is what makes Aruba and because of that the Island has changed. More Hotels, More Restaurants, More Tourists. Do I wish Aruba was still the same as in 1968 - yes, but that will not stop me from coming back each year. I Love Aruba.

Perfectly said! I have only been going for 12 years, and sure it has changed but in life things change all the time. Like you I will keep going back every year.

If you want old Aruba just drive around baby beach, not much has changed . I think Aruba is balanced . One area very touristy and much of the island is not .
