For those that are interested, the story appeared in Aruba Today tourist paper dated Friday, Sept 14.

One line that caught my attention was: Providing a net zero carbon emissions experience means Bacuti's guests leave no footprint but do leave with a memorable guiltfree vacation.

I stay at CLBR next door to Bacuti and have never felt any guilt when I left Aruba.

Stayed at the Bucuti several times. The only footprints I care about are those of the waiter bringing me another Balashi.

I think it is great that Bucuti is protecting the environment. But bottom line: the largest carbon footprint you leave is by flying to Aruba. That said, the island can use some consience on the matter of environment protection.

I should have added that I do feel guilty when I get back home and get on the scale.
