I have not been but hope they make it in that location. There has been many places that have given it a run there and not one has made it.

If it's still open when we're in Aruba in September, we plan on trying it. The fish tacos look interesting, but I don't know about their Shark Attack drink - the Shark take up too much room in the glass.

My thoughts exactly!

Might try it for a drink or two when we're back this fall. It is a "chain" restaurant which I'm not overly fond of but...you never know until you try so we'll see.

I was at Lucy's a couple of times last week. I had the pleasure to be treated to drinks and a snack with owners JD and Caroline. Exceptionally nice people. JD had been to Aruba before but the first time for Caroline. They were only there for 2 nights as the next morning they were off to Curacao to look at a Steakhouse at the Renaissance in Curacao where they may open another Lucy's if all goes well. What I didn't know that Caroline told me was that Lucy's was originally a bar in N.Y.C. in the '80's before opening in New Orleans. How they got to Aruba is their lawyer is the same lawyer for Wind Creek, the new owners of the Aruba Renaissance. They only owned Lucy's since (I think) they said 2016.

I only had wine so I can't say how the good the drinks were but I assume that they were top notch as the owners are a class act and Stephanie the bartender had worked at Moomba. As for food I only had the pork sliders. Caroline kept telling to me to have something to eat. I declined as I didn't want to take advantage of their generosity but she said she would share with me anything I wanted on the menu. I ordered the pork sliders which were very tasty. The chipotle ranch dressing gave it a nice little zing. The 2nd time I stopped in I only had a fast drink as it was very late.

The grand opening will be sometime next month.

I am looking forward to being there in less than 2 weeks.

We love their NOLA and Key West Lucy's.
Looking forward to loving the Aruba one too.

Those of you who are going to Aruba soon, please post trip reports and restaurant reviews. There hasn't been anything new posted in quite a while.
