I am an almost 1 year throat cancer survivor. My Dr.'s tell me it was probably caused from exposure to second hand smoke. TIA!

Congrats on beating it! No casino I have been in is smoke free. The Ritz is not bad. The worst is Alhambra due to the low ceilings.

Agree w/ Dan. I'm very sensitive to smoke, and often have to leave bars and casinos bc of it. However, I don't have problems at the Ritz.

Bobcat: Do they have table games in the smoke free area?

I have been in so many of the casinos I honestly don't remember, but I would guess - yes.

Sorry, no they don't have table games there. Only a few rows of slots.

I thought there was a proposition at one time that casinos would become smoke free in Aruba. I know they are not currently but does anyone know anything about that?

Congratulations Linda on your survival from the throat cancer!

We've gone from going to casinos every night in Aruba to maybe once or twice now. We like blackjack. We're with friends now who really like it and so have tried twice at the Alhambra. Last night we walked away from a pretty good blackjack table when a player lit up and blew smoke in the dealers face. While the dealer shuffled the cards this guys smoke came right up my nostrils. I asked myself 'why am I still here?'. We left. Must be horrible for casino staff! Waiting to find a casino here where it is not allowed anywhere. Really enjoy the interaction at the tables with other players and the dealers. Smokers not so much.

I only frequent the casinos along Eagle and Palm Beach. If I end up betting $20.00 the entire stay that's a lot for me. Why do I go? It's free entertainment at others expense (pun intended).

Smelliest casino? Marriott
Reason: Way too small for the number of people and tables/slots and seems to be more cigars per capita.

Agree on the Marriott. It's like a chimney in there. The Ritz has the best ventilation system in their casino.
